Goldsmith Katie is a gold member of the Goldsmiths Company (one of the twelve great livery companies of London which dates back to 1300). Often referred to as 'sparkly' Katie studied for her Ba (Hons) Jewellery Degree in London where she fell head over heels in love with the dazzling world of jewellery. From the glittering history books and glossy fashion magazines she devoured in the library to the practical lessons at the bench. It's here where Katie's passion and excitement for jewellery bloomed.
After cutting her teeth within the luxury jewellery industry for legendary giants, Tiffany and Co, Pomellato and Carolina Bucci. Her personal fashion jewellery collections proved successful and she naturally gravitated towards the world of fine jewellery founding Crux in 2014.
Katie injects her passion and love for jewellery into every make and bespoke journey. It's the little things, moments and celebrations that make life exciting and precious. Like the gems created in her workshop.
At Crux we only use the finest materials to produce our jewellery. Solid 9ct / 18ct Gold and Platinum. Our jewellery is produced using recycled grain which reduces the demand for mining these precious metals.
All of our bespoke jewellery is cast, set and hand finished by artisan craftspeople in Hatton Garden, London. Only our chains and huggie components are sourced from Italy.
We have long-standing relationships with our gemstone and diamond suppliers ensuring our stones are ethically sourced and conflict free.
Every stone is hand picked by Katie and chosen for its ethics and natural beauty.
Whether it’s those show stopping wedding earrings, that once in a lifetime I do or a treat yourself just because Katie takes pride in offering each client a personal Crux experience.
The jewellery Katie creates is some of the most special in people's lives and that is a responsibility not taken lightly. Katie works one to one with every client. She is there through each step of the process. From refining designs to choosing the perfect stone. Working closely with industry leading artisan craftspeople and expertly refining and hand finishing each piece.
