Goldsmith Katie is a gold member of the Goldsmiths Company (one of the twelve great livery companies of London which dates back to 1300).
Often affectionately referred to as “sparkly Katie,” she discovered her passion for jewellery while studying for her BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design in London. From hours spent in the library poring over the glittering histories of adornment, to long days at the bench learning the craft by hand, Katie fell head over heels for the art of fine jewellery.
After honing her skills in the luxury world with Tiffany & Co., Pomellato, and Carolina Bucci, Katie began creating her own collections, a natural evolution that led her to found Crux London in 2014.
Named after one of the smallest but most distinctive star formation in the universe 'Crux'
Every bespoke piece is infused with Katie’s signature enthusiasm and meticulous care. She believes jewellery should celebrate life’s moments, big and small, and become a forever reminder of love, individuality, and joy. Like the gems that leave her workshop, each creation is designed to be treasured for a lifetime.
At Crux, we are committed to creating fine jewellery with integrity, care, and consciousness.
All of our pieces are crafted in solid 9ct or 18ct gold and platinum, using recycled precious metal grain to reduce the environmental impact of mining.
Each bespoke piece is cast, set, and hand-finished by artisan craftspeople in Hatton Garden, London the historic heart of British jewellery-making. Our chains and huggie components are sourced exclusively from Italy, where craftsmanship meets heritage quality.
We have long-standing relationships with our gemstone and diamond suppliers, ensuring that every stone we use is ethically sourced and conflict-free. Every gem is hand-selected by Katie, chosen not only for its beauty but for its provenance and integrity.
Alongside natural gemstones, we are proud to offer lab-grown diamonds as part of our modern fine jewellery collection. These diamonds share the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as mined diamonds but are created using cutting-edge technology in controlled environments. They offer a lower environmental impact, complete traceability, and make a wonderful choice for those seeking a sustainable yet luxurious option.
At Crux, every material is chosen with purpose to create meaningful, responsible jewellery that lasts a lifetime.
